The All Progressives Congress (APC) is determined to win the upcoming governorship elections in Edo and Ondo states. The APC Deputy National Organising Secretary, Nze Chidi Duru, stated this during a press conference at the party’s National Secretariat in Abuja.

Duru assured the 16 aspirants competing for the APC’s nomination in the Ondo state governorship election, set for November 16, 2024, of a fair primary election. He highlighted the party’s commitment to a transparent selection process to choose its candidate.

Duru expressed confidence in the APC’s ability to win in Ondo State, expanding its governance presence nationwide. This determination follows internal negotiations and reconciliations within the party, which have strengthened its unity ahead of the elections.

According to Duru, Edo State serves as a test case, with the party resolutely determining its candidate through a fair process. He noted that after negotiations, previously dissenting members have now joined forces, forming a strong team. The APC believes it will emerge victorious in Edo State.
